A: Dates for Dawg Days: The 2026 program is six weeks long and runs from July 5th to August 13th with a mandatory Welcome Reception and Program Orientation on July 5th.

Q: Can international students participate?
A: Yes, but it should be noted that Dawg Days Jumpstart includes a required on-campus component in the United States prior to the start of fall classes. International students interested in this opportunity should note that participants must be able to enter and remain in the U.S. for this portion of the program. Students who may require a visa or other travel authorization are encouraged to contact educationabroad@umbc.edu to discuss their individual circumstances prior to applying.

A: The deadline to apply for Dawg Days: Summer Bridge is June 1st. It is highly recommended that students apply early to ensure a space in the program. Space is limited for each of the academic tracks (Math and English).

Q: When will I be notified if I have been accepted for the program?
A: You will receive an email notification regarding your application on April 1 and on a rolling basis afterward. If you are accepted, you will be asked to respond to this e-mail, confirming your course selection(s) and acceptance of the offer with a Contract. More information for admitted students will be forthcoming after you accept your admission.
