Begin your academic journey at UMBC with an Academic Transition Program! We recognize the unique experiences of our transfer students in transitioning to a new campus culture, and we celebrate all that you bring to our academic community. Our unique opportunities are open to all new students and include a blend of seminar style courses and co-curricular opportunities that are meant to help you acclimate to the expectations of a research university. These opportunities are all about YOU and YOUR success. Plan to explore all the possibilities with your academic advisor during orientation. We look forward to meeting you.
